Our mission
Inspiring. Educating. Empowering. Transforming.

At Above & Beyond for Change, we believe every child deserves access to opportunities that inspire growth, build confidence, and expand their vision for the future. We don't simply provide programs — we create opportunities: a student's first karate class, a college visit, a STEM competition, a mentor, a holiday celebration, or food during a difficult season. We help students see possibilities beyond their circumstances, and believe in their ability to succeed.

Leadership
Our leadership

“We don't simply provide programs — we create opportunities that have a lasting impact.”

Above & Beyond for Change was founded by Michelle on a simple belief: every child deserves opportunities to learn, grow, and succeed. What began as a desire to support local students has grown into a network of programs, partnerships, and volunteers creating meaningful change across Central Florida.

Our programs are directed by Dr. Nisha Phillip-Malahoo, an educator recognized by News 6, Spectrum News 13, FOX 35, and WESH 2 as an Everyday Hero, A+ Teacher, and Community Champion — powered by 25+ community and corporate partners and a growing team of volunteers.
